Learning Dependence

Just as a newborn is dependent upon the care of a parent, so is the individual who submits to the lordship of Jesus as a new way of life.

Learning Dependence

Just as a newborn is dependent upon the care of a parent, so is the individual who submits to the lordship of Jesus as a new way of life.

Spiritual maturity does not begin with independence but with dependence. Just as a child learns to trust the hands of a loving parent, so every believer learns to rest in the Father's care. God often allows seasons where our own strength proves insufficient. These moments are not signs of His absence but opportunities to discover His faithfulness. Dependence is not weakness; it is the birthplace of spiritual strength. Every prayer of surrender forms the heart of a son.

Reflection

Where is God inviting you to trust Him instead of relying upon yourself?

Prayer

Father, teach me to lean upon Your wisdom rather than my own understanding.
