REVELATION Christ the Eternal King

Key Scriptures: Revelation 1:17-18; Revelation 21:3

Revelation is sometimes approached primarily as a book of fear, speculation, timelines, and catastrophic events. Yet the opening words identify its central purpose: “The Revelation of Jesus Christ.” The book unveils the victorious Christ. He is the Lamb. He is the Lion. He walks among the lampstands. He opens the scroll. He conquers. He reigns. He makes all things new. Revelation brings the biblical story toward completion. Genesis begins with creation; Revelation presents renewed creation. Genesis introduces the serpent; Revelation shows his final defeat. Genesis reveals humanity losing access to the tree of life; Revelation restores access. The Bible begins with God's desire for image, relationship, and dwelling. It ends with God's dwelling fully established among His people. The New Jerusalem represents the consummation of God's relational purpose. “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men.” Christ brings everything toward habitation.

Sonship Application: Mature sons live from the confidence that history is moving toward Christ's fulfillment, not toward meaningless chaos.
